Maca & Spirulina

Maca – a herb of the family crucifers growing in the Peruvian Andes mountains. The bulb of the maca had been used as part of the diet in Peru and Bolivia for thousands of years. Maca is used in modern herbal medicine for a range of uses and is considered a nutritional plant, rich in minerals, vitamins and amino acids. Maca contains phytoestrogens, contributes to female hormonal balance. It’s also used for men, to treat impotence and improve virility.

Spirulina – a type of x seaweed thriving in warm weather and fresh water, made out of small cell coils tied to one another in a spiral, giving it its name. Spirulina is considered one of the richest nutritional sources in nature and is considered a “superfood”. Spirulina has a high content of varied nutritional component, a rich source of whole and quality protein, vitamins, minerals, essential fatty acids and antioxidants. It’s used for malnourishment, to support anemia and supplementing nutritional deficits. Spirulina is FDA and GRAS approved and was defined safe to use.
